The accommodation
CASA DO SOL was recently renovated inside and out, whilst retaining many of the original architectural features, and is located on one of the most prestigious roads in Funchal, Rua Conde Carvalhal.
The house has 3 floors: Ground floor - Television area, pool table and seating area with access to the garden, Sofa bed, WC;
First floor - Sitting room with tv and terrace with views over the sea, dining room, large kitchen, bathroom and double bedroom.
Second Floor - two double bedrooms, one twin room, one bathroom, balcony with beautiful views over the sea and the port of Funchal.
From the 2nd floor balcony you can watch the fireworks over the bay of Funchal on New Years eve.
The outside of the house has beautiful gardens with exotic plants and on the second level of the garden you can find the laundry, outdoor WC and a small herbal garden.
All the bedrooms have ceiling fans.

È constituida por 3 andares o primeiro andar da casa é constituido por um salão de tv com puffs que podem ser utilizados para apanhar sol no jardim, um sofá cama e uma wc.
O segund é constituido pela cozinha, sala de estar com tv, sala de jantar varanda com vista para o mar, um quarto de dormir e casa de banho.
O terceiro é constituido por 3 quartos de dormir uma casa de banho e uma varanda com vistas sobre o mar e sobre o porto do Funchal e de onde se pode assistir ao grande espectáculo do fogo de artificio do fim do ano.
A envolver a casa temos um bonito jardim com flores e plantas exóticas e no segundo andar temos uma pequena horta de plantas aromáticas, a lavandaria e uma wx
Todos os quartos de dormir possuem ventoinhas de tecto
Setting
A 10 minute walk will bring you to Funchal Old Town, famous for its restaurants, bars and for the brightly painted exterior artwork. After 15 minutes walk you will be in the heart of Funchal. Buses to and from Funchal stop outside the house and there is a Taxi rank nearby. Within 300 metres there is a small supermarket and a Bakery.
A 2 minutos a pé temos um pequeno supermercado e um café/confeitaria
A uns meros 10 minutos a pé estamos na zona velha do Funchal famosa pelos restaurantes, bares e cafés e pela arte " nas portas", a 15 minutos a pé estamos no coração da cidade do Funchal
Mesmo em frente ao portão temos paragens do autocarro e táxis não longe da casa
Activities and attractions
The Old Town has pebble beaches, swimming pools, clubs, various restaurants serving not only traditional Madeiran specialities but also world cuisine, bars famous for "ponchas" and other local drinks, live music at the restaurants, etc
The cable car runs from the old town to the botanical gardens and to some historic locations like Monte, famous for its church and museums.
Funchal centre and port have many attractions for the visitor and the whole of Madeira is easily accessible via bus, either on organised trips or independently.
Podemos encontrar na zona velha praias de calhau, piscinas, discotecas, muitos bares famosos pelas suas ponchas, música ao vivo nos restaurantes, etc
O tèlefèrico fica situado na zona velha e faz uma interessante viagem ao Monte localidade famosa pela igreja e museu e também ao jardim botânico
