The house is located in a tranquil, hilly setting with a lovely view of the village of Besse. Because the house is built on a hill, the rear is on the ground floor and the front is on the first floor. The house has a large garden (1000 m2) with garden furniture, a grill and a ping-pong table. The owner also lives on the estate, though you will hardly know he's there. The front garden is the area that you will be renting. The medieval village of Besse is 500 metres away. You can still get a sense of the Middle Ages in this characteristic village. You walk through the old city gate and down narrow lanes to reach several small squares where you will find traditional little French cafes and shops. As the historic centre of Mont-Dore, Besse is also known as the 'capital of the mountains.
